Municipal Library—Public Library

The Municipal Library is an institution for information, education, entertainment, culture, science and scholarship for everybody. Offering a broad and colourful range of events (guided tours of the library, entertainment for children, exhibitions), the Municipal Library is a popular rendezvous for the inhabitants of the city and its surroundings.

The Municipal Library is based in the heart of the city, next to Trinity church between the Marktplatz and the Neumarkt.

The Municipal Library’s Collection

In the Municipal Library, you can of course borrow books, but also periodicals, audio books, music CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs (movies), videos and games. Six computer terminals can be used to surf the internet.
