Two millennia in 2,000 pictures

On these pages, the City of Worms has compiled image galleries of different aspects of city life and history for everybody who wants to know more about the City of the Nibelungs. ‘Meanwhile almost 80 image galleries with more than 2,000 photos of Worms are available online, and more and more pictures are added regularly’, said Patricia Lorentz of the municipal web editors’ team.

Half of the images have been posted in the category Tourism. Sights, events—such as the Nibelungen-Festspiele and Jazz & Joy—, even the rooms of the wedding office can be discovered in the galleries. ‘We are proud to be able to show potential visitors how beautiful our city is and what’s going on here’, Lorentz added.

Current projects, such as the construction of the new bridge over the Rhine, the Liebenauer Feld housing development or warehouse centre projects, are being recorded in ongoing photo series. ‘But there’s much more to Worms, this is just the beginning’, she promised.
