The Charming Rhine Promenade

The Rhine promenade is a park created in the 1920s. Situated in pleasant surroundings and designed in a clear, classical style, it is one of the most charming parks of Worms. It is the place where the locals love to hang out and where tourists enjoy the hospitality of pubs and restaurants.

A Place to Be, A Place to Meet

Both tourists and locals are charmed by the Rhine promenade, especially after the thorough facelift it has undergone recently. In view of its enormous popularity as a place to meet and hang out it can hardly be called an insider tip any more.

Great efforts have been made to modernise the promenade. The riverside is lined with a number of restaurants ranging from beer gardens typical of the region to extraordinary restaurants, such as ‘Strandbar 443’, ‘Rheincafé Fürst’, ‘Bootshaus’, ‘Hagenbräu’ and ‘Kolb’s Biergarten’.

A sea of flowers, including exotic plants, makes summertime visitors feel as if they were on a Mediterranean holiday.
