The Luther Tour in Worms takes visitors to five sites in the city centre that are associated with the history of the 1521 Imperial Diet and the nascent Reformation era: The Seminary of St John, the Luther Monument, the Bishop's palace (Schlossplatz and Heylshof Garden), Holy Trinity Church and St Magnus' Church.
The historical site where Martin Luther was interrogated before the King and the realm on 17 and 18 April 1521 is now a picturesque park, Heylshof Garden. The former Bishop's palace that once stood here was destroyed by fire in 1689.
Extending almost 400 kilometres, the Luther Trail 1521 traces the steps that Martin Luther travelled almost 500 years ago on his way to the Diet of Worms and then back to the Wartburg.
