The Luther Tour in Worms takes visitors to five sites in the city centre that are associated with the history of the 1521 Imperial Diet and the nascent Reformation era: The Seminary of St John, the Luther Monument, the Bishop's palace (Schlossplatz and Heylshof Garden), Holy Trinity Church and St Magnus' Church.
At all of these places you will find information panels with texts in German, English, French and Dutch, as well as a QR code that links to more detailed texts at the website www.worms-luther.de.
The tour also takes visitors to the City Library with the Luther Library and the City Museum in St Andrew's Seminary, which is home to the Luther Room.
At the numbered points, there are information posts with a text in German, English, French and Dutch and a QR code that leads to these websites.
The city library is also located in the area of the tour. Valuable books from the former Luther Library are kept in the library's stacks (not open to the public).
The most important place to commemorate the reformer is on Lutherplatz. There, visitors stand in front of one of the world's largest Reformation memorials.
The tour combines historical sites of the Reformation, Luther memorials and artistically designed places of reflection that deal with freedom of conscience and the refusal to recant:
